Cedar mulch

Rock and granite
Utility limestone
$340/yd³Pale grey base rock for driveways, pads, and drainage. The workhorse.
Gold decomposed granite
$375/yd³Compacts to a firm walking surface. Paths, seating areas, dry beds.
Pea gravel
$400/yd³Small rounded tan stone. Easy underfoot, good for paths and play areas.
Granite chips
$450/yd³Angular pink and grey granite, 1 inch minus. Holds its place on a slope.
Black star gravel
$600/yd³Crushed dark grey basalt. Available in 3/8 inch, 5/8 inch, and 1.5 to 4 inch.
Salt and pepper river rock

Do it once
Heavy duty weed fabric, under every rock job.
If you are putting stone down, put fabric under it. It is the cheapest part of the job and the part you will be glad about three summers from now.

- Gravel does not break down, so whatever comes up through it stays. Fabric underneath is the difference between a bed that looks new in five years and one you are pulling weeds out of by June.
- Keeps your stone out of the dirt
- Without a barrier, rock works its way down into the soil and you lose depth every season. Fabric holds the layer where you put it.
- Goes down before the material
- Laid, cut around your plants, and pinned the same day we deliver. It is the one thing that cannot be added later without pulling everything back up.
